Work with a Coach to Overcome Social Pressures

To know who your true self is without conforming to social pressures, is the strongest gift one can achieve.
Martha Beck

We live in a world full of accessibility and opportunity. This luxury allows us to really think about what we want, versus only what we have to do or are expected to do, as past generations experienced.

Are you feeling pressured by society to be someone you don't want to be? Are you feeling like a hamster in a wheel trying to balance traditional roles with the modern-day pressures of career, parenthood, and family life?

I want you to know that you don’t have to please everyone around you and wear every hat! Let’s discover which hats you want to wear — the ones that allow you to feel energized and inspired! The ones that allow you to thrive and live an authentic and fulfilling life!

Hi! I’m Ivy Ivers, your life coach. I’ll help shape you, direct you and empower you as you progress on your journey of transformation.

Social pressures I help to cope with

I help my clients overcome various social pressures connected with lifestyle desires and personal relationships. If you recognize yourself in one of the situations below, you’ve come to the right place.
Personal Desires

Personal Desires

Society has created an outline for what a person's life should look like. In this outline people get into adulthood, find a career, meet a partner, have children, and repeat the cycle as the generations pass. For many people this outline is well suited and in line with their life goals, for others it feels claustrophobic. If you are someone who is not sure you want to follow the general social norms, don't feel like you're an outlier and don't fit in. Many people question the social norms and are too concerned about the judgements of friends and family to live a true authentic life. We want you to live a life that speaks to your desires, rather than what society has decided your path should be.
Love Life

Love Life

Love and relationships can be simple or complex. When you meet a potential partner things seem to blossom into a match made in heaven in the early stages, however the more we get to know our potential husband or wife complexities can come into play. It is important to ask yourself if you and your partner are in line with your career goals? Your family planning desires? Your lifestyle goals? These are all major issues that can make or break a relationship, marriage or partnership and are important to assess to make sure you're on a healthy and balanced path.
Social pressures in career

Career

Whether you are choosing a career or changing a career, people often worry about how their choice will be perceived by others. It is not uncommon to be afraid of getting disapproval from family or friends who feel you have not met their expectations. People can be pressured to be someone they are not and choose a career they don't feel fulfilled with, in the name of pleasing others. At first this may seem like the easy answer in order to appease those around you and alleviate your own stress by not letting them down, but with time this will plant a seed of resentment and a lack of personal fulfillment which can take on a major emotional toll.

How I work with my clients

I work with my clients, on creating a plan and strategy that empowers the individual to deal with the social pressures that speak to them. I lead my clients on a path that allows them to shift their mindset and live an authentic life in line with their desires, not society's desires for them.

My coaching strategies are custom created, based on my client's personality type and lifestyle. By working with me, you'll learn to overcome social pressures and accept yourself without others' approval. I use a wide range of transformational therapies to help my clients feel confident with their choices, behaviors, and emotions to align with what they want. For the most effective results, I encourage my clients to be honest, committed, and have a willingness to embrace the coaching process.
